A bit about Jessica billeci
Originally from a small town called Antioch in the San Francisco Bay Area, I moved here in 2003 to pursue a degree in film at San Diego State University.
After getting a job as a Teacher Assistant at Monarch School, I discovered teaching was my real passion, and I've been an educator in various roles for the last 4 years. Currently I teach English and History at East Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility, within the Juvenile Court and Community School District (JCCS) in San Diego. In my personal life I am an avid knitter and seamstress, and love being able to tailor and create my own clothes and accessories. I'm also a vocal advocate for animals, especially Pit Bulls. At home, my boyfriend and I have 2 Pit Bull mixes, 2 cats, 2 bearded dragons and 1 ball python. I love to take my dogs hiking and camping, and I'm grateful to be able to continue to live in San Diego, a beautiful city that offers nightlife and amazing outdoor opportunities! I have been passionate about Educational Technology since my first Ed Tech class for my credential. Check out some of my more primitive projects below from the early days of my career, and follow my blog for updates while I complete my Master's of Ed. Leadership w/Emphasis in Tech at San Diego State University. |
